Purpose

The purpose of this website is to provide information, services and products to customers.

Subject

This privacy policy is subject to this web application that is based on WordPress.

The HaskSheet has its own area and is based on DokuWiki.

So, they are based on different web applications (WordPress, and DokuWiki) that handle different data differently, and hence the HaskSheet has its own privacy policies.

Collected user data

First of all, it is not intended to collect any data from users and visitors of this website. However, data that is provided by visitors is also stored and might be visible to all other visitors.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should be aware that uploaded images may include embedded location data (e.g. EXIF GPS). Be aware that visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Why they are necessary?

The cookies are used for two reasons:

  1. To keep the identification of you (the user) who uses a browser that stores the cookie locally. It is sometimes neccessary to know which data has been entered in previous pages, if needed for this webservice. E.g. you select a product and on the next page you want to buy the selected product. It would not be possible to distiguish between you and any other user without such identification.
  2. To store temporary data that is entered in forms by you (the user).

News

Cookies will not be stored, if you visit an entry of news (blog entry). But if you leave a comment then cookies will be stored.

Commenting a page

Statistical information and server log files are stored on the server according to Hosteurope, and the product WebHosting Basic. Such information will only be used for trouble shooting and business case optimisation.
